  1. 1. General rules for adding cities

    1. 1.1 The addition of any settlements (including those that are part of a larger city) to the site is allowed only for the following types: cities, villages, settlements, and hamlets. Adding tiny communities of other types is prohibited.
    2. 1.2 If a city with the same name already exists on the site, the name should be followed by the province/regional city to which it belongs. For example: Santo Andre (Sao Paulo)
      1. 1.2.1 If there are multiple settlements with the same name within one province/region, the name should be followed by the district city in parentheses.
      2. 1.2.2 If there are multiple settlements with the same name within one district, the type of settlement (village, city) or the name of the nearest settlement should be indicated in parentheses.
    3. 1.3 If a warning appears about the existence of a city with the specified URL, it should be changed by adding a hyphen and the short name of the country or province/regional city.
    4. 1.4 The names of cities in English and other languages should be checked on Wikipedia by switching the language. If Wikipedia does not have the name of the city in a certain foreign language, the name of the city in English should be used.
