Until 2020, this route used to be very simple and very nice. It provided connection between the suburban district Guriai and the shopping district Šiaurės miestelis, passing by the entire old town, which made it very, very convenient. However, in 2020, some trips were diverted via the newly developed suburban district of Kalnėnai. Well, transportation IS very necessary here, and everything could have been ok if not for the fact that due to narrow roads, MIDIBUSES are used for the diverted trips. Because of that fact, this route is ruined. All of them are unbelievably packed, not all passengers even fit. The quality of transportation of Guriai residents has fallen down a pit, and it's also not acceptible for residents of Kalnėnai. It's not very frequent, every 20-30 mins at best during peak times. And the worst thing - standard 12 meter buses CAN go on the diverted trips (photo), and have done on some rare occasions, but not always - and they should, because now the situation is tragic.
