Guam

Taxis in Guam are metered and widely available. There are stands waiting right outside major hotels, the airport and busy shopping centers. Renting a car can be an economical way to get around, especially if you are traveling with your family or a group. Vehicles are widely available from major companies like Avis, Payless, Dollar, and National, but booking in advance is recommended. There are no trains in Guam, so the next best option is taking the bus. The Guam Mass Transit Authority is responsible for operating the public transport, which runs nine routes that connect most of the island’s villages. Alternatively, there are tour buses and shopping buses that are privately owned and often more reliable. The double- or single-decker guhan trolleys are open-air and stop at major hotels and bus stops along designated routes. Gray Line Guam serves Fish Eye Marine Park, Chamorro Village and Hagatna Shopping Center.
