Transport in Ethiopia is overseen by the Ministry of Transport and Communications. Over the last years, the Ethiopian federal authorities have significantly increased funding for rail and road construction to build an infrastructure, that allows better economic development. At least two buses leave Sikela’s bus station for Addis Ababa (Birr145, nine hours) and there’s one daily to Jinka (Birr110, six hours) and Awasa (Birr100, six hours). All depart at 6am.
